The Breckenridge Fox

The second to last morning, just after my cold start test, I spotted a fox. It was the most brilliant red color. I grabbed my camera and jumped out of the car. I got a few pictures, and returned to the idling car. Only one problem, it locked me out. This little fox out foxed me. It was a little embarrassing calling Herb for the back up keys. Had to wait about 20 min in the cold. (It was worth it!!!)

My locked car.

Climbing with Top

Top asked my group if anyone was willing to go rock climbing with his friends. It had probably been 10 years since I had tried it (indoors), s o what the heck. He and his friends were very experienced climbers. My goal was to not embarrass myself. I was not good by any stretch of the imagination, but I did have fun.

Can you find Top in the picture??? (hint.. click on the picture to make it big.. and look between the yellow trees)

Breckenridge

This week was another round of altitude testing. I dislike the time away from my family, but it does afford me the opportunity to go to one of my favorite places… Breckenridge... This little mountain (resort) town is just the perfect example of CO. My first night, I just bought Mocha and walked around. I would like to move here someday.

It is really not the best time to go, Not enough snow to board yet, and a little cool for mt biking. With the amount of work to be done that is probably a good thing.

The week started off warm and got colder as the week progressed.

Top cleaning his ride.

The Field Outback

I think the field behind my house has become my new object to take pictures of. The morning light in the mist makes for interesting pictures.

The First Frost

Saturday morning was a beautiful site. Not just the sun rising over the first heavy frost, but the realization this was the end of my allergies for the season.

After looking at this I realize I should have used a smaller aperture to get the whole flower in focus. I was trying a little too hard to narrow the range of focus to just the flower. Still like the picture though.

These pictures were all taken in the field behind my house.
